Bro are these journalists high? Read the terms and conditions…

If you cancel your deposit before completing a purchase, you may request a full refund. Refund requests must be submitted through Trump Mobile customer support prior to completion of a final sale. If Trump Mobile cancels or discontinues the Device offering prior to sale, Trump Mobile will issue a full refund of the deposit amount paid.

      But see (from the article):

The clearest signal yet that buyers may never see either a phone or their money came with a revised terms of service published on 6 April 2026. The updated document states explicitly that paying a deposit ‘does not constitute a completed purchase and does not create a binding legal contract.’ The payment is described as ‘a conditional opportunity to buy the device if Trump Mobile eventually chooses to sell it,’ with the company retaining all control over whether a phone is produced at all.

The article clearly mentions the T&C were changed in April. Did you racually read it before getting mad at these journalists?

Apparently the terms and conditions were changed quite recently to make it clear paying a deposit didnt guarantee anything.

Changing the terms and conditions to say you are now allowed to steal from your customers doesn’t seem like it would be legal. Which of course is why trump’s doing it.

Unfortunately, the onus would be on you to prove it in court if the company doesn’t follow through. Nobody just shows up to call out a company for doing something that isn’t enforceable.

Word to the wise, this is an “easy” way around most HOA rules: you just gotta have lawyer money and time.

Everyone’s changing ToS on the fly nowadays. This isn’t even special Trump fuckery. Having to agree to new ToS after a sale needs to be punished.
