Don’t really care that much the few times it happens. People rarely want to exclude you (in adulthood at least). Asking is almost a courtesy towards the person showing it. In a way it shows that you care, and want to participate in the thing that person is excited about. Not really a bad thing, also most times it’s just about the logistics of showing something to everyone.

One of my friends recently worked as a costumier on The Outlaws. Apparently Walken is the biggest coke fiend she’s ever met and would constantly have to be told to blow his nose before a shot.
How can he be 83 and still use coke??
Because he’s addicted and can’t stop.
Coke is way lame/overrated imo.
A coke fiend with a notably calm and even slow-paced demeanor is legitimately scary. Wtf
He should probably have done more coke for his Dune appearance.
The spice must flow

That’s considerate. I do the same to my friends when we enter stores.
He hid it, in the one place he knew he could hide something: his ass. Five long years, he wore this watch up his ass. Then when he died of dysentery, he gave me the watch. I hid this uncomfortable piece of metal up my ass for two years. Then, after seven years, I was sent home to my family. And now, little man, I give the watch to you.
Damn, this one cuts to the core.
You is kind, you is smart, you is important.
Why does this happen a lot to me? Do they actually sense idgaf about the stuff they’re showing?
Some of it is probably the look of deep resignation that you get when they ask. Plus the fact that you clearly freeze your face to avoid showing any emotion right before being shown the image. But mostly, it’s the way that despite all of the above, that you still somehow manage to still convey incredibly deep disappointment no matter what they show you.
Maybe they’re saving the best for last?
