It’s insane how many people confuse automation with AI. Autopilot is not AI. Computers are not AI. Even LLMs are not a full general AI. They’re language models and very badly suited to handling novel live situations like ATC.

Do you actually use AI? Even the most advanced models constantly make mistakes. And not small ones either
These AIs are language models, they are not good at making decisions that require live context or a memory longer than 5 minutes.

You should just cancel. Seriously.

Incredibly predictable. I told my manager this is exactly what would happen. They’d hook us into AI and then jack up prices after we adapted the business for it. He actually thought pricing would go down as the tech “gets more efficient”. Lmao.
The cult mentality over AI in tech is crazy to see. I feel like I don’t even know half my co-workers anymore, some of these people actually use pronouns to refer to a fucking chat bot. It’s unreal. I feel like it’s not even worth the money anymore, there was always BS in this industry, but this is getting ridiculous. I need to GTFO.

These tech companies are a bunch of criminals. I fucking hate this industry.

Always nice to see people moving away from enshittified US services.
Well yeah, procedurally generated worlds were basically what I expected. The game was pretty explicit about that. And it was still fun. Elite’s no different in that regard when it comes to exploration and I also have fun with that
Lol “my opinion is actually objective fact, gentlesir”
Nonsense, those of us who weren’t plugged into gaming journos 24/7 enjoyed it on release. I couldn’t have cared less that it didn’t have multiplayer or whatever. I wasn’t even aware of any controversy at the time.
There aren’t that many first person space exploration games outside of nms and elite and nms is much easier to get into. It was fun, and still is
And I don’t count starfield because starfield is just a loading screen simulator
It has millions of players who enjoy it.

Do we really trust Google’s word though? They already use machine learning on your photos to support the search feature

Really pisses me off how flippant and careless people are towards big tech. Yet they’ll bitch and moan about how awful these companies are while forking over all their data for free.
Yeah, this was inexcusable. Trump’s been cozying up to the tech billionaires for years.
