What really seals it is the ‘angry’ version, which is just the same message again but with different formatting. No human would label that as “the angry version” without the inclusion of at least one “fucking”.

You’ll have to ask them. Maybe you should, and maybe they’ll consider it. If you don’t ask, it’s much less likely they’ll think of it themselves.

Because properly packaging/distributing your game is hard. Maintaining a build environment, running tests, having unique deliverables, it all adds effort. With Proton specifically, it’s a much lower effort to report. If there is a linux specific bug, it’s fine, because Linux isn’t officially supported, it’s just known to work with Proton. You also only need to ship one binary file (the Windows build), so you don’t have to adjust or alter any processes.

This may not be the reason they do it, but there are real reasons.

What slogan would you like instead? I think “Defund the police” is probably the most succinct and truthful slogan you could come up with. No matter what political goal you have, summing it up in 3 or so words is never going to give the full picture.

Yes, I agree that communicating clearly is important. But there’s only so much you can do realistically.

It’s one of those mechanics that protect the player against themselves.

Obviously, without carry weight, grabbing every single item that isn’t nailed down, then going merchant to merchant selling everything is the obvious ‘best’ way to play. It nets you the most gold, certainly. However, pixel-hunting every room making sure you’ve picked up every bowl and broom isn’t actually that fun, moment-to-moment.
