oh, my friend, i’m sad to say that this planet has been as fucked as a toddler at a republican invite-only soiree for a long time already u.u
Our fate was sealed since the 1960s.
The timeline branch where we avoided this was the one where Nixon was executed for treason. We are, unfortunately, obviously in one of the variations of the world where that did not happen.
(edit: i know he was only sworn in by 1969 and resigned in 1974 but the prerequisites for dragging his sick bastard carcass to justice were supposed to have been laid out in JFK’s second term. … Which also didn’t happen in the timeline where we have had the misfortune to find ourselves)
Ah, you think dorkness is your ally? You merely adopted the dork. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn’t see mainstream until I was already … obsessively hyperfixated on a niche set of personal interests that normally cause neurotypical people’s eyes to glaze over as they completely shut down from infodump saturation ^-^;
also i love that your name, Zorque, seems to rhyme with ‘dork’ when i sound it out in my head ;3
i honestly genuinely think that’s cool as heck!
this is why i never wear socks that stop at the heel or the ankle. i can’t stand the feeling of the edge riding down >.<
there was a little while where i had to wear compression stockings for a health-related reason, but i’ve come to really like how they feel being all the way up to my knee …
… and now i’m kinda interested in finding some pairs of thigh-highs too~ ^^;
Toxic positivity. I’m not a fan of “your opinion doesn’t count unless you agree with me” and this is just a social media platform saying the same thing. But I’m grateful for the Return YouTube Dislike browser plug-in/add-on so that you can have some point of reference among perspectives outside one’s own. If a video has 300 likes, you might think it’s a fine video and you’ll watch it thinking “wow 300 people endorsed this”. If a video has 300 likes and 500 dislikes, though, you at least KNOW “oh that’s at least one red flag. I shall invest more effort than usual into being skeptical and mindful, and more effort into thinking critically as well, as I watch this.”
If i see a ton of dislikes on a video whose topic is one of the new reich’s designated scapegoats, the dislike count may in fact be a factor that INCREASES my favorability toward it, because chuds brigading something means it upsets them.
That dickhead wouldn’t understand responsibility if it tattooed a scarlet R onto his chest.
Sorry bud, all I’ve got are good girls who are cute dogs
Wow. I had no idea this was going on. Well…
If the author of the code, who was distributing it for free, wants to pick and choose who gets to run said code, then one is welcome to a refund of $0.00, I guess.
…y’know, I feel like, hypothetically, if I made a list of ‘bad people’ and used it to control access to software made available to the general public, that would put me in a fair bit of hot water. If it doesn’t count as targeted harassment, it still creates a literal set of targeting data that anyone else can pick up and harass.
But one way or another, i don’t think it’s very constructive for me to to continue to exist within the vicinity of someone who hates me. even vicariously through their code. just kinda stings is all…
