a browser is firefox/chrome. A search engine is duckduckgo/kagi/google. You access a search engine with a browser, but you can also access other websites, such as piefed.ca, with a browser. I’m sure someone else can explain better, but that’s my attempt :)

yeah, it’s free. Kagi search costs money, but the browser doesn’t cost anything.

a browser is an app/program, whereas a search engine is a website. I’m sorry if I’m not explaining well, I suck at explaining things :(
