- Thyazide@lemmy.worldtoLinux Gaming@lemmy.world•CachyOS is adding a dedicated EACv2-compatible kernel plus a Secure Boot setup guide so users can optionally meet Epic’s new EACv2 requirements without changing their normal optimized kernel.English112·4 days ago
I wanted to play hunger. Even got into the beta. Installed it, then I found I couldn’t play it because it’s using EAC2. Fuck if I’m going to bother jumping through hoops to play it. Or any other game. If Hunt Showdown (another EAC title) forces EAC2 then I’ll quit playing that as well. I’m entirely fucking done with invasive anticheat.
- Thyazide@lemmy.worldtoLinux@programming.dev•I tried CachyOS, but here's why Bazzite is still my go-to Linux gaming distro1·11 days ago
Bazzite has been nothing but a pain in my ass since I put together a build for my wife to play games on. Controller drop out on Bluetooth. Then the next update broke Bluetooth on the entire system. Issues with video output after wake from sleep. The absolute mess that is trying to setup sunshine and get it to work in game mode.
At this point if one more thing happens I’m seriously dumping the entire thing and moving it over to a real distro so I don’t have to ever deal with an immutable os ever again.
This is a minor sorry point in the classic “hell a cyber punk thriller” game from the 90’s.

No.
