Why would you buy anything that requires and app, let alone a car? I haven’t bought a new car in a while, but if it requires and app, I’m not buying it. I bought a pergola, and originally they said I could use an app to turn the lights on. But I made them install a switch instead. Maybe consider unlinking your life for important/expensive purchases?

Nah that influencer is just chasing clout. He sucks. The flavor of the week is Flock, next week he’ll find something else to grift about.

That has been my go to for a long time, but then you get people upset and demanding mods censor words and view points and of course advertisers pumping real money to people in exchange for hosting content. So it makes a mess of things :/

Ultimately the paradigm of mass shipping millions of tons of cargo across the ocean needs to stop if the environment is something that anyone wants to pretend to care about. As far as the cargo that is shipped, Cars are certainly the worst.

Yea car-culture is garbage, but not sure what that has to do with metal-detectors and security theater grifting.
What use is the metadata? Or is that stuff like the album covers etc?
I’m also a bit concerned about this:
Second, there’s an obsession with audiophile-grade quality (lossless FLAC, etc.) that inflates file sizes, making it impossible to maintain a complete archive of all music ever produced.
Does that mean that this spotify dump is a bunch of 64kbs mp3s, or worse some kind of lossy spotify transcode?
There are a lot of 2026 cars that don’t require a phone app. They may have other shitty internet connectivity features, but they dont’ require an app. And the next time I buy a car i will 100% not be getting one that requires a phone app.
