20 days agoCutting these things down is fine and all, more power to you. In decently sized cities, they’ll just replace them and it becomes a game of whack-a-mole. Go to noalprs.com and sign up - look for a local group and show up to city hall. If your town isn’t on the map, create a group. There has been enormous success by pointing out the privacy risks, security failures, potential for abuse, 3rd party data collection, etc. When a contract is cancelled, ALL those cameras go down. Seriously, sign up and fight. Angry folks at town halls make change.
