Funny you mention that. It occurred to me that the handful of things that would really make me sad to lose if I just bailed on YouTube were all things I could indeed support on Patreon. So now I’m doing that haha. I don’t think my current Patreon load costs me anything more than I used to pay for Premium.

Yeah what a fucking joke. The one and only feature they’re selling (especially since they bailed on original content like 2 years after they started) is ad-free viewing. You need a price hike every 18 months to ensure the “don’t show this guy ads” line in my profile config stays set to True? Fuck off.

Paid for Premium for ten years. Then, moved to a family plan since my brother offered and my wife had moved in with me; it saved me a little money and got her Premium. Then they did the thing they’re all doing where they said “you don’t live in the same house so you’re not a family” and I said, “there’s no way in fucking hell this household is paying $25+ for fucking YouTube, a thing we watch too much of anyway because it’s algorithmically mind-fucking us everyday,” and then we just let it lapse. We’ve got SmarTube on the Android TV for the occasional ad-free video, and it’s clunky enough that we don’t get sucked in, and I’ve got uBlockOrigin on my browser because obviously, and they’ve gone from getting some money out of me to never getting a penny again.
Can somebody remind me what this content creator / series name is? There’s one I want to dig up on YouTube but I can’t remember what to search.

Forgive me, sire; I hadn’t $80,000 to spend on a luxury truck.
You fuck.
lol they’ve had the same basic interface since I was in high school 20 years ago. This is outstanding. Good for them. I almost never use Audacity anymore but I absolutely would use this if I had a reason to.
