Every time I do a point release upgrade on Debian the whole system breaks. It’s so smooth until that point, but if I have to reinstall the OS anyway then I’m going back to EndeavourOS (which is what I’m using now)

This was my experience with Linux Mint. I love stable distros n all but these OS updates are scary.

No weird config at all. I love the Debian experience specifically because it gets out of your way and I don’t have to jump through any hoops. But then they release a new version, I do the massive scary upgrade, and it just stops working. It happened a few times, so I just don’t do it anymore.

That’s not a point release, though. A point release upgrade is like going from 13.5 to 13.6. That’s usually so few packages that you’d have to do something extreme to break it.
