Awesome! When I was like 13 I liked an ad for a DVD player and started to ask my parents for one, then checked myself as I already had like four DVD/CD players in my room. An old laptop, a PS2, PS One and TV with a disc drive

I so use my Quadraphonic 8-track player as my main speaker system.
I keep “Star Wars and other Galactic Funk” by MECO loaded in it, mostly because i don’t think it would survive being removed at this point.
You haven’t lived until you’ve heard disco mixes of the Star Wars soundtrack that were made as a serious project and not a parody.
I still listen to music on CD’s.
I do too, but like much less than my ripped files.
Sometimes the CDs are even cheaper than the digital download. And there’s always thrift stores. Once you have the CD, rips are easy.

I still buy CDs, but there’s no sense playing them directly - I rip them and I listen to FLACs.
I can go and buy Cassette and Vinyl records in Walmart, they know what CDs are
