Apple CEO Tim Cook is stepping down as Apple's chief executive officer, and hardware engineering chief John Ternus is set to take over, Apple announced today. Cook will continue on as Apple CEO through the summer, with Ternus set to join Apple's Board of Directors and take over as CEO on September 1, 2026. Cook is going to transition to executive chairman, and he will "assist with certain aspects of the company, including engaging with policymakers around the world".
I don’t think it’s that, it’s that this comment doesn’t really add anything and it’s annoying to see the same tribalistic tropes repeated in every single post about phone brands. I despise the dogged fanboyism of the android and iOS people.
BFD, I switched to a Fairphone 6 (De-Googled) and I’m not looking back. The only thing I might miss, a tiny bit, is the iWatch.
Sadly the apple watch sensor + algorithm is the singular best PPG optical heart rate tracker on the market.
Not enough to put myself in danger of the Israeli Pegasus sending me one text to inject spyware but still…
Which isn’t even called the iWatch

I am still waiting for a new Maxipad.
Good for you
Seems like iphone lovers are mighty upset at you.

I didn’t up or downvote for the record.
Same. Which is why I like to see Fairphone, Jolla and GrapheneOS etcetc mentioned as much as possible :)
Stop it, Patrick! You’re scaring him! Fairphone, Jolla, SailfishOS, GrapheneOS! 👻
As (currently) the only other person to reply to that net-upvoted comment, pretty much that. I also did not up- or downvote
