Yeaaaaaa … I try to do that but if I feel a single cold drop my body is just reflexively like " fuck that" and turning the valve before I even know what’s happening.
I think you’re overreacting to the cold but that’s just me. Just gotta breathe through it a few seconds, then your body gets used to it. You shouldn’t need hotter water than skin temp lol. I usually go a little warmer than that though.
For sure, but it’s not something I can power through. I think there’s something wrong with my body’s ability to regulate my temperature. If I get cold even if it’s just a little bit then I can’t warm up for hours and I’m miserable. If I make the shower as hot as can be then I can dry off before I cool down below room temp and not end up chilled.
There are some claimed benefits of cold showers that don’t really hold up, as far as I understood. Like for muscle growth after a workout for example. And for waking you up, any shower will do that to you. Even a splash of water in your face. 👍
It’s a myth because hot shower wakes you up just as good. Just today I blasted myself with hot shower after rough sleep and I got that “wow” feeling in how quickly I seemingly opened my eyes and felt fine
Idk, too enjoyable for me. I need it to be uncomfortable to get the waking up effect. But then I like and can afford slow mornings so I don’t actually need to wake up quickly.
Btw, cold showers are apparently a myth last I heard. Take comfy showers, folks, you’re okay.
I crank it up as hot as it will go. My skin is fucked but at least I get to be warm for a while.
I need luke warm to cold showers T_T else my skin actually will fall off and I will die from boiled body

Sounds very painful. Unless you have shit temperature as your hot.
The fire within burns hotter than the water without. If I ain’t a red and pruny then it was wholly insufficient.
It’s just short of painful if I work up to it but I’ve built up a tolerance to it.
Sounds like coffee or beer. It’s actually disgusting but “you just gotta LEARN TO LIKE IT”. 🙃
It’s better than the alternative of experiencing even a moment of cold

Ah I see, I gotcha. I don’t believe you’re overreacting then. 😅
I hope there’s some way you can fix it somehow. Otherwise, keep warm, friend! 🫸🔥🫷
What do you mean myth? They definitely wake you up.
Or has some other benefit been attributed to them?

Hot isn’t really comfortable. You gotta constantly move around/rotate otherwise it feels like you’re burning
Warm showers work well at night because the heat evaporates quick, which cools your body down faster, helping to set your body up for sleep
They bring you to sing, regardless the talent.
I heard its better for your hair if you wash it warm and rinse with cold water.
Just like doing the dishes then I guess.
