For me its a bit too late, because I’m full on Steam now. But even if I wanted to, there is no payment option I accept for purchasing on GOG. If there was a way to pay with PaySafeCard or with some sort of GOG Gift Card, then I would rethink about this. With Steam getting rid of Gift Cards (but still allow PaySafeCard as an option), this could be a real reason to buy from GOG to me. Even Epic Games has this option. I don’t want to buy from Epic in the future, so GOG do something! It’s all a service problem, not a question of money.
I think gog takes gift cards but I’m not certain
I never saw (physical) Gift Cards sold in a shop. And when checking out to purchase a game on GOG website, I don’t see any option for that either. It’s a long standing issue / request: https://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/gog_payment_gift_card
