Oof. Actual fire? We had a CRT TV that would flash red once in a great while. It was fine until my mom found my brother asleep in front of it, flickering all red constantly, with smoke pouring out the back!
I know now that it was likely just a failed transistor on the neck board. I’ve seen a lot of smoke and some plasma but never a fire from a CRT.
