A Sydney tutoring company will shut its doors at the end of the week after telling customers artificial intelligence has rendered its service effectively obsolete.
And pulling the back the camera a little bit, tutoring is funded by parents wanting to pull up their children’s score so they can get into “good schools.”
Once they get there, who is going to teach them, what will they learn?
I haven’t heard a good strategy to counter AI in students evading learning yet, and since a good strategy would requiring failing students, I doubt universities are motivated to find one.
And once you graduate with your expenisve degree (even if its paid for by the state, it’s still four years of your life), what job is waiting on the other side to have made that worthwhile?
