Then we can vote on it as we do for any other and if it was a shit post it will be buried.
You may spend enough time on Reddit to instantly spot reposts and be annoyed by it, but I don’t. How do you see limiting the amount of potential entertainment and discussion that I can get on Lemmy a positive for it? Is your position that if something is already posted on Reddit, I should go there to interact with it?
If it is a person that saw it, chuckled, and decided to share it, yes. If it is a bot automatically reposting every post, no.

My position that accounts that only exist to repost content from reddit isn’t helping the fediverse.
These accounts are easy to spot and are using some level of automation.
