Automotive companies love all that data, and collect it, monetize it to data brokers, insurance “risk data brokers” etc. KIA/Hyundai and Nissan are there worst for it!

What if that stranger was hundreds of thousands of people called a company and they were selling that data to their other friends who charge you money for car insurance?
Yes, modern cars are a privacy nightmare. Yes, modern smartphones are a privacy nightmare. But what does Android Auto have to do with any of this? All it does is run a second screen for your phone.
