I think its more about “meet the people where they are at”. “AI” is in the zeitgeist and is useful as a focal point for the fact that its a really small club and you ain’t in it.
It’s worth being able to recognize his face if you see it. Frankly, I’d trust the credentials and truthfulness of Sam Altman over Yudkowski… At least his agenda is more apparent.
